Currently we are putting together two separate books. Both books are a collection of stories. The first book is a collection of stories of scout buglers, and the second is a collection of the greatest stories scouts have. To submit your story for consideration please visit the story submission page.
Have you ever been at the gas station filling up your car and saw a group of boys wearing tan uniforms climbing out of a large van with backpacks tied to roof and think back to the days when you were that young boy? You stop one of the boys so you can tell him about your best scouting story, but he has to leave to get back on the road before you have time to finish your story? Now you have an opportunity to tell your whole story, and share with scouts all over the country. Some the greatest moments in the scouting movement have already happened, don't your story fade away. Please visit the story submission page to tell your story, and have a opportunity to have it posted in our blog or published in our upcoming book "Back When I Was A Scout..."
I began bugling for military funerals as a scout volunteer at the age of 12 at the Riverside National Cemetery in Southern California. Having played for over 500 funerals I have seen things that can warm the heart, and bring tears to the eyes. Scout Buglers are a unsung part of scouting, if you have a story of your bugling experience that you would like heard please visit the story submission page to have your tale either posted in our blog or published in our upcoming book "Duty To Country: Scout Buglers"
